FEMA and congress not renewing or procuring flood plain policies

FEMA and congress not renewing or procuring flood plain policies for homes in the flood plain.

Congress voted today to not allow any flood policies on homes to be written or renewed until at least April 12th when they reconvene.  I am assuming lenders will not fund any homes in a flood plain…. This will affect a lot of property owners or buyers buying on the Highland Lakes, Lake Austin, or Lake Travis.
